Beginning Quilting Class 5

This is the final class in our Beginning Quilters series! In Class 5, you’ll complete your quilt by learning how to cut, prepare, and attach binding—the finishing touch that frames your quilt and makes it ready to use and enjoy.
During this class, students will:
-
Learn how to cut and prepare binding strips
-
Join binding strips into one continuous length
-
Attach binding to the quilt
-
Create clean, professional-looking mitered corners
-
Finish the quilt so it’s ready to use at the end of class
By the end of the day, you will leave with a fully finished quilt and the confidence to bind future quilts on your own.
What to bring:
-
Your quilt from Classes 1–4 (quilted and ready for binding)
-
Basic sewing supplies (sewing machine, thread, scissors, pins/clips, seam ripper, etc.)
-
Binding fabric purchased prior to class
This class wraps up everything you’ve learned in the series and celebrates your accomplishment as a beginning quilter.
